My dearest LinkedIn-Community,
After experiencing the latest discussion on "How immigrants are statistically more likely to commit crimes", the ingenious dissertation on "Why veganism is a fraud", and the new trend on "Making 10.000$ a month with AI trading" I had an epiphany..or maybe a mental breakdown: When did we start thinking in black and white only? At what point did we stop thinking critically?
The arguments "I saw this online" and "That Instagram guy told me" are omnipresent and, undoubtedly, few are questioning it. It seems that social media has build a monopole on opinions where the in-betweens do not generate enough traffic to be heard; nor thought.
I recently remembered a topic that we covered in school: Kant’s enlightenment (Aufklärung in German) and it weirdly resonated with me. It is something that seems to be necessary in today’s world, again. I feel like we are stuck in our self-imposed immaturity..and I want to change it. I will call it the modern enlightenment (trademark pending 🙃).
This post shall be the beginning of my #DiaryOfCriticalThinking. It will, for sure, not follow a proper schedule nor will it be full of algorithm-feeding incentives. It will merely be a digest of thoughts and ideas I have on this topic. (Yes, this will contain AI-generated content, too. It is the whole point of being in that non-black-and-white area, is it not?) Of course, you are more than welcome to contribute here, too! #incentive
Why am I entitled to do this? Well, I am not and yet was fortunate enough to work alongside and learn from bright, utterly experienced, and awesome people. I am just a summary of my experiences that I would like to share.
Over and out. #KeepThinking
